Quick Step by Step guide
Step 1: Blend garlic, shallots, and chilli paste with 1/2 cup of water until smooth.
Step 2: In a medium sized pot, heat vegetable oil. Add blended chilli paste. Stir until simmering.
Step 3: Add sugar, salt, tamarind paste, and palm sugar. Stir until fragrant.
Step 4: Add shrimps (prawns and stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Place lid onto the pot and continue to simmer for 3 or 4 minutes.
Step 6: Add sliced onions.
Step 7: Cook for another 5 to 6 mins and serve.
