Quick Step by Step guide
Step 1: Peel and slice Yam Bean, carrots, and Cucumber into thin strips.
Step 2: Add peanuts into pestle and mortar and crush. (Alternatively you can use blender)
Step 3: Pound Dried Chilies and Palm Sugar and mix with Hoisin sauce. (May use blender)
Step 4: In pot add 4 cups of water and Palm Sugar. Wait until it boils and dissolves into water then add sliced Yam Beans to cook until soft (approx. 10 mins). Then drain the Yam Beans and set aside to cool
Step 5: Lay Popiah wrappers unto flat surface. Add 1 tbsp of sauce. Add appropriate amount of the cooked yam beans, carrot and cucumber. Add a tablespoon of crushed Peanuts, Fried Shallots, and Coriander leaves.
Step 6: Then wrap as according to the video. And serve that plate full yummy good Popiah!
